About Me

My aim is to help you look at the big picture; whether that’s in marketing, customer service, or in life (which is the biggest picture of all).

Greg Haag's Blog

Hi, I’m Greg Haag. A bit about me: I’m a marketer, author, writer, musician, lover of life and the interesting people and cool ideas in it.
In February of 2009, a day before I turned 40, I quit a job I hated (actually the job was good, it was the organization that was soul-killing) and started on a journey to take charge of my life and I’ve been enjoying life ever since. Friends joke that I retired. I spent my time traveling with my wife, writing, reading, and getting my “mojo” back. I got back to being me and when I was ready I found a new job (and a great one at that).
I’m a life-long learner and love growing as a person. Just months after starting my new job, I went back to school and earned my MBA in Marketing. Talk about a test of endurance! I learned so much about myself in the process; which in some ways was more valuable than the material I learned in my classes.
Throw in a love of helping people and you’ve got yourself a pretty good coach and motivator. You won’t find anyone better to have your back.
I’ve spent my career as a content marketer, a team leader, a sales rep, and a customer support specialist, so I’ve had a well rounded career. I’m a keen observer of the world around me. I wonder why some people just seem to do exactly the right thing at the right time while others seem clueless. I want to make things better, not only for myself, but for others. That’s why I started Greggest Bloggest.
So, what the heck is Greggest Bloggest? And what does that mean anyway?
Let me explain. I’m at my Greggest when I’m my authentic self, when I’m true to my values and what I believe in, when I’m the best version of me I can be. It doesn’t always mean I’m right, or that I’m victorious, but it does mean that I give everything I have. I give all of me that I can. It’s not easy to do, but I try to be my Greggest every day, in every moment. Whether I’m at work or at home, whether I’m writing or playing golf, I want to put as much of me as I can into whatever it is I’m doing at the moment.
What being the Greggest means to me is that I’m vulnerable, honest and open.
I look for the best in everybody.
I see the beauty in the little things.
I see the humor that surrounds us and try to spread it.
I like to instigate things.
I’m an idealist. It doesn’t mean I ignore reality (but honestly sometimes you should).
I believe we all have a talent to share with the world and I push for people to share it.
I respect other people, but question authority. I believe, like The Beatles, that “the love you take is equal to the love you make” so I try to create as much love as I can.
I believe in the human spirit.
I believe in honesty, integrity, and loyalty.
I believe in listening more than speaking. You learn a lot this way! But, when speaking have something to say.
I believe in being nice to people and treating everyone with respect (a lot of people, and businesses, could do a better job with this).
Being triumphant doesn’t mean you have to put someone else down. Getting to the top by destroying others isn’t winning in my book.
I want you to succeed with your career, your business, your relationships, but most importantly in life.
If you own a business how do you get it to be the bestest it could be. How do you create the culture to fulfill your mission and your vision?
Let’s develop a strategy to be the best version of you possible. What will life look like when you’re the youest you can be?
I’m here for you. I’ll help you live your bestest life. Want to work together? Send me a message.
Thanks for visiting!
